How to tell a real Gucci handbags from a fake one?

Hello, firstly I must congratulate you on your excellent taste! If it is a kosher Gucci handbag it will have a serial number stamped on the reverse of one of the company trimming labels, by that I mean inside the bag normally on one of the inner pockets where it will have the logo, look on the back of that, it is hard to find at first.
You can go on a website - - where for a small fee you can check the serial number as the website has a log of them. The serial number is the only way to check as fake Gucci handbags are made now that are such good copies that it is hard to spot the difference. Having said that I can spot a fake Louis Vuitton a mile off, they are easier than Gucci. If it turns out that the bag is a fake, make sure you contact Trading Standards and also demand a refund.
The stitching isn’t the same. Real ones have a much better stitch.
